The half-set necklace is in the form of a plaque and a gold chain, and you can choose a thin or thick necklace chain depending on your taste. Generally, there is no chain in half of the set, and the goldsmiths put the plaque on the chain for better presentation.
Difference in the type of gold and other decorations
The gold used is the other difference between set and half set gold. As you know, generally all gold is yellow gold and after undergoing a process called gold plating, it turns into white gold. Yellow and white gold are used to make various types of sets and half sets. But in each of these collections, a particular gold is more popular. For example, in making sets, white gold is mostly used, because white gold can give a more luxurious look to the gold service.
